Singing For Fun -
How much did we raise for charity at our recent concerts? Thank you to everyone who sang or supported us at our fund-raising events. Together we can make a real difference.

Over the SfF years, in Pembrokeshire and in Leicestershire, we have raised in the region of £100,000, an extraordinary amount of money, especially given the fact that most of our concerts are free!

Summer 2017:
A small group of us has just returned from singing at a special meeting of the local branch of Cancer Reserach UK at Tregwynt Mill.  What a lovely morning - a wonderful setting, scrummy cakes and coffee, an extremely enthusiastic audience ... and quite fabulous singing. Thank you to everyone who sang - audience and SfF-ers!

The young people of POINT really helped us to Raise the Roof at the Town Hall in Fishguard. What an atmosphere!  The audience came from far and wide - including Cheltenham, Swindon ... and Malaysia - and was hugely complimentary. We did our bit in raising £245, which goes much of the way towards the cost of a safe-guarding course for some three hundred local youngsters.

Our joint concert with the Goodwick Junior Band raised £400 for a defibrillator at the Phoenix Centre on an extremely warm evening.  Super stuff!

Cruise ship visit
Fantastic comments from the extremely appreciative American audience. We've been paid £400, which will be divided between Wales Air Ambulance, Sartori, RNLI (Fushguard and Goodwick branch) and the Grenfell Tower holiday.

Come and Sing for Wales Air Ambulance in Brynberian
raised £96.51.  What a beautiful setting in the old school.

Cuppa, Cake ... and A Sing in Moylegrove raised £100 for the village defibrillator.  Super singing and super cake!

Raise the Roof in Newport
raised £278.10, to be shared between Sartori and Shalom.  Thanks to Tabernacle for allowing us to use the church for free.

Raise the Roof in Lettertson
raised £405.41 for the Lions charities.  Thanks to the Lions who came along ... even after their own Fun Day. Lions are obviously really tough.

What have we been doing this term? in Solva
raised £290.77 for Shalom. What an enthusiastic audience!

Sing for the Heart in Dinas
£520 raised for the village defibrillator - fabulous.

That makes £2215.79 so far this summer.  Brilliant.

And the biggie ... singing for the Grenfell Tower kids' holiday at Treginnis Farm raised over £2,000!!!!!!

Christmas 2016:
RNLI £600
Save our playgrounds £93.88
Newport Community Library £194.08
Together with the Leicestershire concerts, just under £9500 was raised in our Christmas events. Extraordinary.
